💸 Refund Eligibility Checker

Check whether your UAE recruitment agency owes you a refund, under the four cases MoHRE has spelled out. Based on our guide to the four UAE agency refund rules.

Your Situation

Inside the 6-month probation period

Most UAE domestic-worker contracts run 24 months

Estimated Refund

Pro-rated refund
AED 7,000
88% of AED 8,000
Why: Termination after the first month but still inside the 6-month probation is refunded pro rata: (AED 8,000 ÷ 24 months) × 21 months remaining.
⏱️ Two-week deadline: once the worker is returned to the agency or reported as having absconded, the agency must process the refund within two weeks. Missing that deadline is the most-penalised violation in the sector.

Next steps:

  1. Return the worker to the agency, or ensure the absconding report is filed — this starts the two-week clock
  2. Put the request in writing, citing which of the four cases applies
  3. Keep every document — recruitment contract, preliminary agreement, receipts for recruitment and government fees, medical result
  4. If the agency stalls past two weeks, escalate to MoHRE: call centre 600590000 or Legal Consultation Center 80084
  5. Last resort: the competent court, on MoHRE’s recommendation

Estimate only, not legal advice. The refundable portion follows the Executive Regulations and the recruitment contract you signed — read its refund clause, and confirm your entitlement with MoHRE.
